PickleRoamer ("we", "us", "our") is a travel and community platform for pickleball players, operated at pickleroamer.com. PickleRoamer is currently in pre-launch phase and is operated by its founder.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information submitted through our website, membership registration, court submissions, and community features.
We collect personal information only when you voluntarily provide it. This includes:
Membership registration (join.html):
- First and last name
- Email address
- Username (chosen by you)
- City and country
Waitlist sign-up:
- Name, email address, city
- Optional message
Court submissions (courts.html):
- Name and email address
- Court name, location, and review
- Proof of visit links (optional)
50-Court Challenge submissions:
- Name, username, and email address
- Court details and date of visit
- Proof links or photo URLs
Automatically collected data:
- Pages visited and time spent (via Google Analytics — anonymized)
- Browser type and device type
- Approximate geographic location (country/city level, not precise)
- IP address (processed by Google Analytics, not stored by us directly)
We use your personal information for the following purposes:
- To operate the platform — managing your membership, processing court submissions, and running the 50-Court Challenge
- To communicate with you — sending launch announcements, membership confirmations, and challenge updates
- To improve the site — understanding how visitors use PickleRoamer so we can make it better
- To display public content — approved court reviews and challenge leaderboard entries may be displayed publicly (username and court count only — never your email or full name without consent)
- To comply with legal obligations — if required by law
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for their own marketing purposes.
We share data only with the service providers listed in Section 5 who help us operate the platform. These providers process your data on our behalf and are contractually bound to keep it secure.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. Some features of the site may not function correctly if cookies are disabled.
We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or social media tracking pixels.
Your data is stored with Airtable on AWS infrastructure in the United States. Airtable is SOC 2 Type II certified and GDPR compliant.
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data including:
- HTTPS encryption on all pages
- API token authentication for database access
- Access to member data restricted to authorized administrators only
- Regular review of third-party service security practices
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we take data security seriously, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data retention: We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may request deletion at any time — see Section 8.
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Right to correction — request correction of inaccurate data
- Right to deletion — request that we delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
- Right to portability — request your data in a portable format

Users between 13 and 18 should have parental consent before registering.
PickleRoamer participates in the Amazon Associates affiliate program. This means that when you click certain product links on our site and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you.
All affiliate links are clearly marked. We only recommend products we genuinely believe are relevant and useful for pickleball players. Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial content or court reviews.
